The Institute for Dance Education Arts, Inc. presents

he American Ballet Competition, presented by the Institute for Dance Education Arts, Inc, awards scholarships and company traineeships to some of the most prestigious dance schools in the United States and abroad along with cash prizes. The Competition was founded in 2004 by highly regarded dance professionals Katherine C. Kersten and Kee Juan Han to create unique educational and professional opportunities and exposure for talented young dancers.

The American Ballet Competition exposes contestants to international guest teachers through master classes, coaching sessions and unmatched opportunities to be viewed by professional dance directors from throughout the world. Performance opportunities, such as with the International Dance Festival of Maimi, have been offered to ABC winners.  The Competition is conducted in a nurturing, positive and organized atmosphere that promotes not only the artistic and technical growth of all participants but affords valuable insights and reality checks that address their professional expectations.

The Institute for Dance Education Arts also supports the continued development of dance teachers through its International Dance Teachers Seminars held annually with prominent dance pedagogues.
